Croissant Moon Tarot Readings

Croissant Moon Tarot Readings

So, you’ve decided to get a Croissant Moon Tarot Reading. Yay! I’m so excited to get to know you. Let’s chat a little about my reading style. What it is, and what it isn’t.

What Makes Me Qualified as a Reader?

I’ve been getting readings since I was a kid, and dinking around with decks since the late 90s.

Much of my spare time is spent with tarot books, podcasts, and workshops. Or just some good old fashioned howling at the moon.

How I Prep for Croissant Moon Tarot Readings

I like to give myself some time to make my space beautiful, do some mindful breathwork, and call upon any guides or spirits who want to chat with you.

I pull two oracle cards before we start. This gives me an idea of the over-arching themes we might explore.

What Kind of Readings Do You Do?

I do 3 card email readings, 20-minute Pay-What-You-Can video calls, and 60-minute video calls. Right now my readings are strictly online.

How Does an Email Reading Work?

Tell me as much about your situation as you feel comfortable divulging. I will then do my usual prep and write a short reading for you. I can have it to you within 48 hours, usually sooner.

If you have trouble with large blocks of text and would prefer a video, I am happy to oblige! Let me know.

How Does a Video Chat Reading Work?

You book a little appointment with me during my working hours, and I give you a call. We will chat through our reading, and I’ll send you a photo after so you can meditate on the cards in the coming months.

Once we start, I encourage discussion, interaction, and even interruption. This is your message. I want you to understand what’s coming through and how to apply it.

“But Melanie, aren’t you psychic? Shouldn’t you just… know?” For me, it doesn’t really work that way. I am intuitive. I can tell, for example, if the cards are saying you’ve been in a lot of difficult romantic relationships. But I can’t be like “remember Brian!? What a pill. Delete this man.”

Would that I could!

The Croissant Moon Style of Reading.

I am an intuitive person in a relationship with my tarot cards. Right now I am using the RWS, but I am studying the Pastel Magic Tarot. I ask them what they’d like you to know, and my task is to relay that information to you. I’m not here to do parlor tricks, I want to connect with you in an authentic way.

I believe you are co-creating your life with the universe*, and I’m not here to tell you how to do that.

*I am also not here to tell you to manifest your way out of capitalism. Or any other ism. When I say “co-creating your life” I am talking about the choices you’re in charge of, not the shitty situations that get thrust upon you.

What I can do is tell you:

  • Themes that are presenting themselves in your life, and why.
  • Areas for improvement.
  • Actions the universe loves for you and wants you to keep nurturing.
  • Choices that may be healthier than others.

The Croissant Moon Code of Conduct:

I will happily read your tarot cards, but I expect you to make your own decisions in life. Please understand that I am here to guide you, and I am not to blame if things don’t go exactly as planned. I am a gentle guide, not a replacement for your professional therapist or financial advisors.

I believe in gentle guidance rather than meddling. This may look like:

“Someone in your life is being deceitful. Gird your loins and keep your eyes open for red flags. Get clear on who you are and how you deserve to be treated.”

Rather than:

“Your partner is cheating on you- get out!”

There’s so much danger absolutes. And I can be wrong. Maybe the cards aren’t talking about your significant other at all, maybe they’re warning you about a nasty coworker. Or maybe your partner is cheating, but you need to go through your own discovery process.

What I Won’t Do/Tarot Etiquette

We can’t use tarot to spy on people. I won’t tell you why your mom is acting weird, but I can tell you what your role in that weirdness is.

Yes or no questions don’t really work. They aren’t “bad,” they just need a refresh. Let’s steer away from “am I pregnant?” And more toward “how can I ready my body for a new life, what should I be focusing on right now to become a mother?”

What Can Tarot Do For Me?

The word of the day is perspective. Tarot gives you a bird’s eye view of where you’re at, where you want to be, and the steps to take to get there. And I love to be the person who guides you through!
